New Fantastic 4 Trailer

The newly re-booted version of The Fantastic 4 released it's trailer today.

I have only seen the first Fantastic 4 movie and I wasn't that impressed. It wasn't as terrible as I expected it to be. I really liked the Dr. Doom character in that version. There is no mention of him in the new trailer though. There are some very inconsistent things with this new version of the movie. Most noticeably and the elephant in the room, the different races of the Storm siblings. Not that I really care but aren't they supposed to be twins?
I have read that The Thing will be able to control his "power" and make himself look normal. They don't mention that in the trailer so who knows how true that is. I think that by doing that, you lose a lot of character development for him. I really hope that this new movie does a good job with Dr. Doom. I really did like him in the original movie but thought he needed more screen time to be effective.
The trailer shows promise for this movie, but more trailers are needed for me to get completely on board with the reboot.

Man Crush Monday: Anthony Mackie

Anthony Mackie~

Why We Love Him: I think the best part about Anthony Mackie is that he is just so excited about Marvel. Every interview that I have seen of him, he is just in awe of the fact that he is in a Marvel movie. He seems to genuinely appreciate the fact that he was chosen for such a big role as Falcon. Seeing him so excited makes me excited for what is to to come for the character.

Upcoming Role(s):
  • Our Brand is Crisis
  • Avengers: Age of Ultron (rumored)
  • Triple Nine
  • Untitled Christmas Eve Project (with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen)
  • Captain America: Civil War

Avengers Merchandise Coming Soon!

With Age of Ultron on the horizon, toys and collectibles are going to hit shelves soon.
I recently came across an article about my favorite toy company, Funko. They have the best figures for Marvel.

First things coming out are the Mystery Minis. Notably missing are Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. I love these little boxes and being surprised with what I get.

Next are the Pop! Vinyl Figures. I will be grabbing Hawkeye as soon as I see him. Also in the Pop! collection will be; Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Ultron and Vision.

I have never seen keychains by Funko before. Thor, Captain America, Hulk and Iron Man will be the first in the keychain line.

Another new item, is a 4-pack of bobble heads. These are a little weird looking. I will  stick to the more traditional Funko figures.

Last things are the new Fabrikations figures. These are soft little, plush figures that Funko started making.

The Fabrikations will be out in April and everything else will be out in March. I have had really good luck finding this brand in Hot Topic. I know Barnes and Noble sells a bunch of these too.

Man Crush Monday: Shemar Moore

Shemar Moore:

Why We Love Him~ I just got into Criminal Minds thanks to Netflix. Why I never watched this amazing show before, is beyond me! Shemar Moore is an amazing human being in real life. He takes his celebrity status and uses it for good. He has a clothing line called, Baby Girl; see link here Baby Girl. All proceeds go to benefit The National MS Society. He posts all about this on his Instagram and seems really sweet to all of his fans.

Upcoming Role(s)~

  • The Bounce Back

Weekly Etsy Find #14

I am an avid baker.  This Christmas I made way to many cookies.  I wish I would have found this weeks Etsy find just a little sooner.  I thank Cecelia for letting me know of this weeks shop.
This week I am featuring a shop call Totalum ( <<Click the Link<<) .  They specialize in cookie stamps which would have been perfect for my holiday baking.  These just aren't boring cookie stamps though.  They are awesome stamps.  Yes, there are more traditional stamps like Easter and Christmas.  I however, am a fan of the fandom stamps they have.  For example, these sweet Game of Thrones ones:
HOUSE BARATHEON inspired COOKIE Stamp recipe and instructions - make your own Game of Thrones inspired Cookies  HOUSE STARK inspired COOKIE Stamp recipe and instructions - make your own Game of Thrones inspired Cookies

Superhero themed?  They have them.  Check out these Batman and Avengers themed cookie stamps:

Lets not forget to mention the Harry Potter stamps:
Deathly HALLOWS inspired COOKIE STAMP recipe and instructions - make your own Harry Potter inspired cookies LION or Gryffindor inspired COOKIE Stamp recipe and instructions - make your own Harry Potter inspired Cookies

I could seriously keep going.  There are a lot to choose from.  I should also mention that not only does Totalum have great 5 star reviews but the stamps are handmade and reasonably priced.  Now to decide which to buy and make first...?   Check out the shop by clicking the link mentioned above, it is a really great shop.

2015 Movies That I'm Excited to See (Part 2)

  • Spectre: 11/6
James Bond is one of those movies that will last forever. I just started watching them when Daniel Craig became the new Bond. I really love how far these movies have come and how amazing they still are today.

Spectre (2015) Poster
  • The Jungle Book: 10/9
The Jungle Book was never one of my favorite Disney movies, but I always liked the snake Kaa. In this movie, Kaa is voiced by Scarlett Johansson which intrigues me very much. I know that this one is Disney but there will be another one in 2017. That one being released by Warner Brothers and is being directed by Andy Serkis! I'm excited to compare the two.
The Jungle Book (2015) Poster
  • Victor Frankenstein: 10/2
Frankenstein is played by James McAvoy and Igor is played by Daniel Radcliffe, done. I'm seeing this movie for those two actors alone! Oh and lets not forget the 3 Sherlock actors that are in it, Andrew Scott, Mark Gatiss and Louise Brealey!
  • Everest: 9/18
Keira Knightley and Jake Gyllenhaal star in this movie. It's about a climb on Everest that goes seriously wrong. Jake Gyllenhaal brings so much passion and commitment into all of his roles. I am always excited to see what he does.
Everest (2015) Poster
  • Black Mass: 9/18
A true crime story about famous criminal, Whitey Bulger. I have no idea who he is, but I am interested in all things true crime. Johnny Depp and Benedict Cumberbatch are in this movie so that is a big draw.
  • High Rise: 2015
Tom Hiddleston and Luke Evans star in this movie based on the novel. What I have gathered about the novel, is that the building makes all of it's occupants turn against on another. It seems like an interesting concept and I will plan on reading the book.
  • Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials: 9/18
I saw the first Maze Runner movie and really loved it. I then decided to buy the books, there are 3 main books and then the fourth is a prequel. The books are awesome but the first movie did not stick very close to it. The Scorch Trials is pretty graphic so I'm sure a lot will have to change in this movie too.

  • Ant-Man: 7/17
Even after seeing the trailer, I am still not really sure about this movie. I love Marvel, so I know it will be good but I know nothing about Ant-Man. I will still see this of course!
  • The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2: 12/20
I still have not seen Mockingjay Part 1, but I have read all of the books. I absolutely hated the ending of the book/series. I know that I am going to hate the ending of the movie. I still want to finish out the series and see how the film compares.
  • Mission Impossible 5: 12/25
This has to be one of my favorite series of movies! I love the action and suspense and all of the technology. This movie also started my love for Tom Cruise, the man may be a little crazy but he is a great action hero. He does his own stunts too which is awesome and very commendable.
  • Star Wars: The Force Awakens: 12/18
I think that Disney has a lot to prove with this movie. The originals are such classics that do  not need a reboot. The newer 3, I really liked but I can understand how they were bad in comparison to the old. I was not thrilled with the trailer, I just thought it was like a parody of itself. It was hard to describe but I didn't really get excited about it. I really hope that a new trailer will change my mind.

Man Crush Monday: Michael Fassbender

Michael Fassbender:

Why We Love Him: He makes a really great, young Magneto. That is the only role that I have seen him in and he's just really great. He has a little bit of evil in him but at the same time has a lot of heart. He's another one of those actors who has incredible, blue eyes! You just can't help but to look at them. I'm excited for the next X-Men movie with him in it!

Upcoming Role(s):
  • Slow West
  • Trespass Against Us
  • Macbeth
  • Untitled Terrence Malick Project (Lots of amazing people in this including, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale and Cate Blanchett)
  • Steve Jobs
  • X-Men: Apocalypse
  • Assassin's Creed
  • Prometheus 2

Weekly Etsy Find #13

Sorry for a very long holiday abscence.  It wasn't intentional.  Since I feel so bad for my lapse of planning ahead and being busy I have several epic items this week for the Weekly Etsy find.
I am once again returning to my Harry Potter roots this week (sorry non HP fans).  So, lets get things started.

First up I found this really adorable sign for the laundry room.  If only I had a house to decorate and hang it up in.  The sign can be found at Letter Things.  They also have a Frozen sign for mittens which would be cute if you had young children who are fans in the house.

House Elf (Dobby) Laundry Room Sign--A fun place to store those single socks

Next, I have an item for those adults who want to be like Mad Eye Moody.  Here is a flask that says "Polyjuice".  It's a fairly simple concept, but the design looks great as well.  You can check it out at the shop Android Sheep.  While you are there you can check out the other epic merchandise.  They are shirts, other flasks, posters and more featuring many other fandoms like Sherlock and Supernatural.  In fact, be on the lookout for a future Weekly Etsy post on this shop alone because there is that much awsomeness.
Polyjuice Flask, inspired by Harry Potter 6 oz. Stainless Steel Laser Engraved

Last, but not least I bring you this cute little key chain.  It is nothing fancy but the price is right and would make a great stocking stuffer (for next year) or gift.  Now if only it would really levitate my keys to me when lost.  Find it at Geek Tags shop along with other nifty finds.

Accio Keys Keychain, Hand Stamped Keychain, Stocking Stuffer, Geeky Keychains, Geeky Keyrings, Geeky Gifts, Gift Under 15

That is all I have for you on this edition of Weekly Etsy Find.  Since I am always scouring the Etsy site for great finds let me know of anything interesting you have found and favorited on the site in the comments.  See everyone next week.

Man Crush Monday: Chris Pine

Chris Pine:

Why We Love Him: The first movie I ever saw of his was Princess Diaries 2, which I didn't even remember he was in until I went on IMDB. The next movie I saw of his was Star Trek: Into the Darkness. I never saw the first one because I am not into Star Trek at all. I bought the second one because I knew Benedict Cumberbatch was the villain.  Fast forward to Into the Woods and I was really excited to hear how Chris Pine's singing voice sounded. I didn't even know that he could sing and I was not disappointed!

Upcoming Role(s):
  • Z for Zachariah
  • The Finest Hours
  • Mantivities
  • Star Trek 3

2015 Movies That I'm Excited to See (Part 1)

These are in no particular order. I just went through my IMDB watchlist to get all of the movies. Some of these may not even come out this year. IMDB has either an actual release date or just a year. All of these movies are listed as 2015 for right now. This is going to be a pretty big post so I  had to split it into 2. From the looks of this list, I am going to spend a lot of time at the movies in 2015.
  • Blackhat: 1/16
This is all about defeating cyber crime. It looks really intense and interesting. It's nice to see Christ Hemsworth in a non-superhero movie.
Blackhat (2015) Poster
  • Kingsman: The Secret Service: 2/13
Secret agents always make for a great movie. The trailer for this movie is really awesome. Take a look below, it looks pretty badass.

  • Focus: 2/27
I just recently saw a trailer for this movie. I haven't seen anything from Will Smith for awhile, but this looks pretty interesting. It is about a con-man who gets involved with one of his partners.

  • Cinderella: 3/13
Do I really think that there needs to be another Cinderella movie? No, but this one has Helena Bonham Carter plays the fairy godmother. It is Disney, so I know it will be good.
Cinderella (2015) Poster
  • In the Heart of the Sea: 3/13
Another Chris Hemsworth movie on this list. He is pretty busy this year! This movie is about Moby Dick, which I have never read but know the story. The trailer looks really cool and I love anything that takes place in the ocean.

  • Avengers: Age of Ultron: 5/1
I don't even need to write about this one! If you read this blog even once, you know that Marvel is a huge part of our lives. Plus, this comes out the day before my birthday!
Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) Poster
  • Tomorrowland: 5/22
A Disney movie about an area of the parks that I love, plus George Clooney! What's not to love! The first trailer doesn't really give a lot of details so hopefully a new one comes out soon.

  • Jurassic World: 6/12
I really hope that this movie is so much better than the third one! By the looks of the trailer it will be. New dinosaurs are always cool and technology has come so far since the originals. I'm so glad that Chris Pratt is in it too.
Jurassic World (2015) Poster
  • Inside Out: 6/19
A Disney/Pixar movie all about emotions and what goes on inside your head. It's a different take on a traditional movie where we only see what is going on outside of the body.
Inside Out (2015) Poster
  • Minions: 7/10
I just love the Minions! They were always my favorite parts of the Despicable Me movies. I am interested to see how this movie will work considering they don't speak English. It should be a hilarious movie no matter what!

  • Pan: 7/24
Hugh Jackman plays  my favorite pirate, Blackbeard! This is another movie that I really don't think is needed. There have been so many Peter Pan movies, I really hope that this one is much different than the same old story.
Pan (2015) Poster
  • Mr. Holmes: 2015
This is one of those movies that doesn't have a release date yet. Ian McKellan plays the old, retired version of Sherlock Holmes. That's all the information available so far. I love Sherlock so I'm happy to see this movie whenever they get around to making it.
Mr. Holmes (2015) Poster
  • I Saw the Light: 2015
This movie is about the country singer, Hank Williams. I have no idea who he is or what he sang. All I know is that Tom Hiddleston is playing him and singing in a movie. That's all I really need :)

Part 2 Coming Soon!
