Five Shows Gone Too Soon

I've been re-watching Firefly lately-I'll talk about that more in a future post.  This got me thinking about shows that I feel were cancelled way to soon.  One of which is Firefly because it was awesome.  Here's five I picked.

Firefly: I'll admit I never saw this show until about five years ago.  I was instantly hooked and watched it all and Serenity in a week if not less.  It was great.  Joss Whedon is a genius and who doesn't love Nathan Fillion.  If you haven't checked out this gem it is currently on Netflix.  Browncoats Unite!

Veronica Mars: I was a fan of this show when it was originally on the UPN and it was awesome. I was a teenager so I felt like I could relate.  Comedy, drama, and everything else.  It ended after 2 great seasons and one that was okay.  Luckily for us Marshmallows, the Kickstarter funded movie came out this year.  You can bet this girl bought the DVD ASAP.  I'll admit, not as good as the first few seasons of the show, but it was nice to see the gang back together, especially Veronica and her dad.

FlashForward: Another one I watched from the beginning.  Yea, it was kind of confusing but at the time I thought it was awesome TV and a great storyline. I haven't re-watched it since being cancelled. I kind of don't want to ruin the love I once had for this show.  I also may admit I might have been blinded by Joseph Fiennes and Dominic Monaghan.

New Amsterdam: Okay so I do not totally remember what I liked about this show.  But, I am pretty sure I'm not the only one who enjoyed it-one of my friends/college roommates did if I'm not mistaken.  It was an interesting concept and I wanted to know who Johns love was.  Guess we'll never find out.

Mental: I already told you in my previous post that I am a psychology nerd.  Hence my enjoyment of this show. I cannot forget to mention the lead star Aussie Chris Vance (I fell in love with him during his time on Prison Break).  The ending was a stinker and I'd kind of like to know what happened to the main Dr.  I was hoping ABC's Black Box would be similar but I was slightly disappointed for it has the same cheesiness as virtually every ABC show these days.

Well that's it for my list.  Now to return to my Firefly and find out where I can possible catch an episode of Mental to see if it holds up to my previous expectations.
